MARSH

We initially gave up on the Marsh family because, in the last century, "Marsh" was more common than "Smith" in East Kent! However, with a lot of help from our friends (and distant cousins), we now have a tree stretching back to BARHAM in the 1500's.

Descendants of this family have been contacted as far apart as Australia and Canada - genealogy really does fill out your Christmas card list!

My Grandmother's brother emigrated to Australia in the early 1900s - we have recently found his descendants (or rather, they found us! they were researching the Marsh family too).

A family reunion was held in Dover (Kent, UK) where several different branches of the family got together, including one very active member from Canada, who has coordinated much of the research.
